monopterus albus

The first species i would like to introduce to all of u is this snake-like fish..(fish???)yes it is fish..why i choose this fish as my introduction??because this fish is the target for my final year project to accomplish my degree study in UMS..

With the title of egg development of monopterus albus, it will take me a lot of time to finish this project..(should i do other project??)..Here are some information about this eel:

• hermaphrodite (sex change). young with female and later change to male.
• still can't determine the sex of this species.
• some source state that male is bigger and longer in size compare to female.
• nocturnal which are active during night time.
• release mucus when stress. (that's why it hard to handle)
• herbivore type (eat on small fish, crustacean & other organism)

D kg halaman, belut ini telah mjadi lauk yg popular terutama buat teman2 sy iaitu MAGGI belut BUKIT MARAK, belut PAPRIK PANJI & SUP belut WAKAF BARU..Namun penghasilan belut masih gagal dilaksanakan secara komersil sprti ikan air tawar yg lain..THAT'S Y I CHOOSE BELUT AS MY STUDY!!!!semoga ALLAH memudahkan segala pekerjaan...

-for those who can help me how can i get the egg, really appreciate that..!
